About Dan Faloon

Dan Faloon is an emerging photographer and artist in San Francisco, CA.

After a career of more than 40 years in teaching and faith formation, Dan began photographic studies at City College, San Francisco, August 2017. His dream and passion is to develop his artistic creativity and photographic skills. 

Dan loves to photograph nature and the outdoors and is especially drawn to light,  color and natural beauty.  He also enjoys photographing architecture and people.

Education 

Dan completed an undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Education at St. Gregory Seminary, Cincinnati, OH, 1973; and Masters Degrees in Business Administration (1982) and Religious Studies (1986), both University of Dayton. Dan completed his Architectural Photography Certificate, (May 2019) and a Digital Photography Certificate (May 2020) at City College, San Francisco, CA. Dan is further continuing his studies in Graphic Design.

Interests

Dan enjoys cooking, travel, nature and the outdoors - especially fishing & hiking.

Inspiration

Artists and Persons who have inspired Dan:  Charles Shultz, Abraham Lincoln, Ansel Adams, Francis of Assisi, Ignatius of Loyola, Antoni Gaudi, Salvador Dali, Claude Monet, and Dan’s grandmother, Mary Dama.

Dan's most favorite place in the world is Barcelona, Spain.
